Almost forgot this-
made for olivia for mother’s day. kind of looks like a cross between a peony and a pansy. silk shibori ribbon and fabric stitched with a magnetic clasp.
Then, of course it’s Monday-
supplies to make armatures: old wood from fence, wire hangers, & nylons
they went together faster than anticipated,so…
we had a chance to get out the art textbook and look for pictures of different types of sculptures and talk about them
next week we mix the plaster!

yes, i thought so too. i could play with this idea all week. what if….
i used shibori instead of nylons and of course, no plaster.
