I never got my indigo seeds to come up. We are having drought conditions. What a bummer. Could you share your recipe?, what a fab harvest!!

indigo does not like drought conditions. it’s a fact!

those tiles have held up. way back over 25 years ago i tiled that kitchen and insisted on heavy porcelain tile. it was a good choice.

I’ve had indigo shrub growing in my yard for a couple of years now. I never even though about using it for dye!
donna- not sure where you live but what you have is likely not the dye producing type of indigo. here is what japanese indigo looks like:

at the end of summer it will go to seed and need to be resown next spring. there are many types of false indigo that are ornamental.
