road trip…..

I’ve been out of town on a trip up north and stopped into the San Jose Museum of Quilts and Textiles. Unfortunately, they are between shows and didn’t have too much on display but there was a small display of quilts from Gloria Hansen that are worth stopping by for if you are [...]

feelin’ a little blue….

yesterday was our 5 year anniversary (no we’re not married!) and phil took me outside to kiss me in the moonlight of an almost full moon. it was lovely, large, and kind of orangey, low on the horrizon . i’m here alone today waiting for my people to come home realizing this is the [...]

dye samples and more

I finally had to break down and get a new burner. The old one lasted about a year and a half

this year in Houston as [...]

working

I did manage to get a bit of experimenting in among the production work yesterday and it was a bit of a disappointment. You know how when you’re in the shower with the hot water running over your head or standing ironing yards of silk you get these ideas of things you want to [...]

Here in So Cal it was spring all weekend. I was inspired to work in the yard and enjoy all the things that were in bloom.

apricots, plums, and peaches for starters…
picked oranges and lemons
avocado in bloom as well-my variety is ready in December
planted a pomegranate tree - a gift
the persimmon is leafing out- another fall [...]
